Past Projects We’ve Previously Supported
Through our Community Infrastructure Support Programme (CISP), we helped part-fund upgrades to the Loch Torridon Community Centre, a vital hub for residents, businesses, and visitors. Our funding contributed to new external signage and the replacement of a safety fence, which have already boosted visitor numbers and improved the centre’s appearance. This has enhanced the Centre’s ability to generate income and reinvest in its services.
We are proud to have supported the Golspie Youth Action Project, which provides a safe, stimulating environment for children and young people. The project encourages personal development, teamwork, and the building of life skills. Our funding covered rental costs, allowing the club to remain free to access, ensuring that it continues to be an inclusive space for all children.
We’ve also funded tourism projects like the John o’ Groats Trail, a 147-mile route that showcases the stunning North Highland scenery. Our funding helped install bridges along the trail, improving accessibility and enhancing the experience for the thousands of walkers, tourists, and locals who visit the route each year.
The Dunbeath and District Centre is a dedicated health and well-being hub that offers a wide range of services that foster social integration, healthy living, and lifelong learning. From walking groups that encourage physical activity and connection with nature, to art workshops and creative writing sessions that foster creativity and self-expression, the Centre is making a significant difference in reducing isolation and supporting individuals to engage with their community. Through these initiatives, the Centre plays a vital role in improving mental health and creating a more connected, resilient community.
