Strong communities are at the heart of what we do at North Highland Initiative.
We work with community organisations, groups and partnerships across the North Highlands, providing funding and support to helps communities respond to local challenges, develop new opportunities and build a sustainable future.
Whether you’re looking to improve a community facility, strengthen your organisation, create new opportunities for local people or find new ways to tackle rural isolation, we may be able to help.
Our community funding
We currently have two funding routes designed to support different types of community projects.
NHI Community Futures Fund
For large, long-term projects focused on organisational capacity, people, services, rural isolation and community sustainability.
Community Infrastructure Support Programme
For smaller-scale projects, improvements, facilities, infrastructure and practical community initiatives.
The two programmes are designed to complement each other, helping NHI support communities at different stages and with different needs.
